One of the most important goals of being a cannabis grower is getting the best yield from your strain. And while you can certainly breed your own, unique strains, it may be simpler and faster to know which current strains on the market will give you the best yields. After all, the more productive your growing operation, the longer your supply will last.
1.Chocolope
This mix of Indica and Sativa yields 12 to 21 ounces per square meter indoors, and 25 to 35 ounces per square meter outdoors. It takes approximately seven to eleven weeks to produce a flowering crop of medium height plants. In addition to giving you great production, the Chocolope strain is the next best thing to a cold shower – it wakes you up! This is a great strain for morning smokers.
2. Big Bud
This is a pure Indica strain that yields 21 to 32 ounces per square meter both indoor and outdoor. It is resistant to drought and can be grown in dry climates. However, it does tend to grow bud mold, so it must be monitored carefully. Flowering takes about eight to nine weeks and produces dark, leafy plants with very thick stems.
3. Chronic
Chronic is an indica indoor plant that can yield 16 to 23 ounces per square meter. It can be grown outdoors in dry weather but grows better indoors. Its crop takes eight to nine weeks to grow but produces big buds and a top cola.
4. Chronic-Widow
This strain is a cross-bred strain that is 65% Indica and 35% Sativa. These tall plants take eight to nine weeks to flower and grows best indoors or in dry, outdoor weather. Chronic-Widow yields 6 ounces per square foot indoors or 24 ounces per plant outdoors.
5. Super Skunk
Super Skunk is a mostly Indica plant that takes seven to eight weeks to flower. It produces 17 to 25 ounces per meter in an indoor environment. When grown outdoors, it yields 2 kilos per plant.
6. Mango Haze
This 50/50 Indica-Sativa hybrid that grows very tall. It flowers indoors very quickly and produces up to 19 ounces per square meter. It can also be grown outdoors with a yield of 2 kilos in the ground. Total flowering time is 8-11 weeks.
7. Blue Dream
A Sativa hybrid that can grow into giant trees. It flowers in ten weeks and are typically grown outdoors. Each tree will yield 10 pounds per plant. Blue Dream can be grown indoors with a yield of 14 to 21 ounces per 6-foot plant.
8. Thai Stick
One of the oldest strains of sativa, Thai Stick has a super-high yield. The strain has been around for decades and can yield six pounds per plant when grown outdoors. However, it is not a fast-growing plant. To get one of the highest concentrations of THC in the world, you have to wait for Thai Stick for almost nine months. They can begin to flower at 14 weeks, but the longer you let them grow, the more they yield.
9. Critical Mass
This is often the choice for mass production growers as it flowers in eight to nine weeks and provides a yield of 24 to 26 ounces per square meter indoors. When grown outdoors, the yield is about 28 ounces per plant.
10. Texada Timewarp
Texada Timewarp strain grows plants nearly seven feet tall and provides a yield of more than one kilo per plant. It’s grown almost exclusively outdoors and takes six to seven weeks to flower.
If you’re looking to start your own crop, either for your own use or to begin an indoor growing operation, any of these cannabis strains are worth taking a look at!
