Even non-pot smokers can easily recognize the smell of cannabis plants. So if you’re an indoor grower, keeping the distinctive “scent” cannabis leaves to a minimum may be important to you, as to avoid any extra unwanted attention and scrutiny (especially from a legal standpoint). So, you’ll be happy to know that there are in fact some low-odor cannabis strains that you can grow if you’re worried about keeping strong odors at bay.
Choosing a low-odor cannabis strain isn’t the only option. You can also include carbon filters in your grow area and ventilate your growing room away from your neighbors’ homes. Open odor-neutralizing gel which can also help to minimize the scent.
While you’re growing indoors, you may become more or less impervious to the scent, being that it’s in your house. Keeping your home ventilated with fresh air can prevent extra “leakage” of the odor and works much better than trying to cover it up with perfumes or air fresheners. It’s also helpful to keep your gardening clothes near your grow room and separate from the rest of your laundry. This way you won’t carry the scent around your home.
Low-odor cannabis strains come in many varieties, and their qualities as powerful as stronger-smelling cannabis. Keep in mind that there is still a scent with these plants; they are just milder than others available.
